We've been printing custom flexible packaging for a while, and one question shows up on almost every first call from a small roaster or a new supplement brand: "Can I order a small batch without paying for plates?"
Until now the honest answer was "kind of." Our digital line started at 500 pcs — low for the industry, but still a wall if you're testing a flavor or crowdfunding a launch.
That wall is gone. We just installed an HP Indigo digital press, and our custom pouch minimum is now 100 pcs.
What actually changed
- 100 pcs minimum on custom printed stand-up pouches, coffee bags, and foil pouches — digital.
- No plate fee. Ever. Digital doesn't use cylinders, so there's nothing to amortize across your run.
- 3–5 days for a proof, 7–15 days to bulk. You can hold a real sample before committing to a production order.
- Same certifications. The line runs under the same CE / ISO / FDA / BRC / food-contact-grade standards as our gravure production, across our 10+ certified factories.
Who this is for
- Crowdfunding and pre-orders — print 100, validate with backers, reorder once funded.
- Seasonal or limited runs — holiday blends, promo collabs, without sitting on 5,000 dead bags.
- Coffee and supplement startups — a real, shelf-ready pouch at a real small quantity, not a stock bag with a sticker.
If you've been holding off because 500 was too many, that excuse just expired. Send us your artwork or even a sketch and we'll turn a proof around in days.
